  • DAN STURMAN, Director/Producer

    Dan’s work includes the 9/11 documentary “Twin Towers,” which won an Academy Award in 2003; the Sundance, Peabody, and Emmy award-winning documentary “Nanking,” which was short-listed for an Academy Award, released theatrically, and sold to HBO Documentary Films; and “Soundtrack for a Revolution,” which was also short-listed for an Academy Award, released theatrically, and broadcast on PBS. His films have shown at festivals around the world, including Cannes, Sundance, Hong Kong, Hot Docs, and Tribeca, and have received special screenings at the White House, New York’s Museum of Modern Art, and the Grammy Museum in Los Angeles.

  • DYLAN NELSON, Producer

    Dylan is an Emmy- and Producers Guild Award-nominated documentary filmmaker. Most recently, she produced the 2025 documentary feature “The Stolen,” about children kidnapped during the 1970s Argentine military dictatorship, and directed the 2022 documentary feature “Mississippi Messiah,” about civil rights iconoclast James Meredith. She produced the 2021 documentary feature “Groomed,” about child sexual assault, for Blumhouse and Discovery +. Dylan co-produced the Participant Media feature “Merchants of Doubt” (Telluride/Sony Pictures Classics 2013). With Dan Sturman, Dylan directed and produced the documentary feature “The Hollywood Complex” (Hot Docs 2011/ Showtime 2012), produced “Soundtrack for a Revolution” (Tribeca/Cannes 2009, PBS’s “American Experience” 2011), and line- and associate-produced “Nanking” (Sundance 2007, HBO/Cinemax 2008). She is a professor at Colorado College.

  • GARY GILBERT, Producer

    Originally from New York, Gary has been writing and producing television series in Los Angeles for ABC, CBS, NBC, and Fox for over two decades. He has written episodes for a dozen situation comedies and is a co-creator of the show “Sister, Sister” as well as the executive producer and a writer on the pilots of “Seinfeld” and other series. He currently teaches creative writing to incarcerated youth in Los Angeles.

  • SYLWIA SZCZECHOWICZ-WARSZEWSKA, Co-Producer

    After having worked on the award-winning feature films “Never Look Away” by Florian Henckel von Donnersmarck, "Wil” by Tim Mielants, and "Captain" by Robert Schwentke, Sylwia founded the Film Office, a production company based in Poland. As a producer, she’s worked on a broad range of projects including narrative features, documentaries, and international co-productions. She is a member of the Polish Producers Alliance and has been selected as a participant of the Berlinale Visitors Programme, ACE Producers, North Pitch Workshops in Tromso, and the IntroDox programme in Copenhagen. Sylwia strongly values meaningful human stories that explore psychological, sociological and historical themes.

  • ANTHONY SAVINI, Director of Photography

    Anthony is a multi-faceted New York based filmmaker and cinematographer. His work spans narrative fiction, documentaries, and branded content and can be found in theaters and on Netflix, Max, NBC, Food Network, PBS, Discovery, Investigation Discovery and many others. Anthony has had the pleasure to work with such noted documentarians as Ken Burns, Ric Burns, the makers of this film and many others. As a producer, he’s now developing a biopic on the life of songwriter Jimmy Webb and a project on Dungeons & Dragons for Hasbro.

  • JAYME ROY, Director of Photography

    Jayme comes from a family of esteemed documentary filmmakers. Perhaps best known for shooting on Michael Moore's last four films, Jayme is equally comfortable in the worlds of documentary and journalism, having shot on high profile magazine shows like NBC’s “Dateline,” ABC’s “Nightline,” and PBS’ “Frontline” and on many long-running documentary series. His work has more awards and nominations than he even knew existed. Jayme loved working on “The Stamp Thief,” and it gave him the rare honor to work together with his brother Mark Roy on sound.

  • TOM PUTNAM, Editor

    Tom is a director and editor whose past films have played more than 500 film festivals, from Sundance to Cannes, and won more than 30 major awards including the Audience Award at the Tribeca Film Festival, the Grand Jury Prize at the SXSW Film Festival, the Spirit of Slamdance Award, and a Spirit Award. His editing credits include “BURN,” “The United States of Insanity,” “The Good, The Bad, The Hungry,” and “Into the Unknown.”

  • JEFFREY DOE, Editor

    Jeff is an Emmy-nominated editor whose work has premiered at Sundance, Cannes, and Telluride. Starting his career as an MTV Award-winning music video editor, Jeff then transitioned to documentary, cutting “We Sold Our Souls for Rock ’n Roll” for famed “rock-u-mentary” director Penelope Spheeris and the Grammy Award-winning “Runnin’ Down a Dream” for director Peter Bogdanovich, about the life and career of the late Tom Petty. Other notable work includes “Soundtrack for a Revolution,” directed by Bill Guttentag and Dan Sturman; “Salinger,” about the famously reclusive author; and the Emmy Award-winning “Sting: All This Time.”  His television work includes “American Experience: God in America,” directed by Greg Barker; the Barbra Streisand Netflix special “Barbra: The Music, The Mem’ries, The Magic!”; and “That Animal Rescue Show,” directed by Bill Guttentag and Richard Linklater.

  • STEPHEN G. HALL, Executive Producer

    Steve is an Emmy-winning Executive Producer with a passion for impactful storytelling through documentary film. He has served as Executive Producer for critically acclaimed projects, including Amazon Studios’ “Wildcat” (2023 Emmy winner for Best Nature Documentary) and the feature film “East of the Mountains.” Beyond film, Steve has spent 25+ years as a technology venture capital investor, including working closely with the late Paul Allen at Vulcan Capital. Hall remains deeply engaged in philanthropic work focused on scientific research and conservation through his board roles at The Allen Institute, AI2, Hoja Nueva and Wildentrust.

  • MEGAN GELSTEIN, Executive Producer

    Megan is the Co-Director / Chief Program Officer of Catapult Film Fund. Catapult is dedicated to supporting nonfiction filmmakers with critical early stage funding and mentorship to launch distinctive, story-driven, and cinematic films. Recent projects supported by Catapult include “Sugarcane” (Sundance 2024, Nat Geo), “All That Breathes” (Sundance 2022, HBO), “The Territory” (Sundance 2022, Nat Geo), “Crip Camp” (Sundance 2020, Netflix), and “American Factory” (Sundance 2019, Netflix). Megan has executive produced documentary features including “Beyond Utopia” (Sundance 2023), which was shortlisted for a 2024 Academy Award and lauded by New York Times and Washington Post critics as a “thriller” where the “horrors are real;” “Razing Liberty Square” (IL 2023); and “Storm Lake” (Full Frame 2021, IL), described as “an elegiac heartland portrait...colored by the hope of endurance, both for the newspaper and the community it represents.”

  • BILL GUTTENTAG, Executive Producer

    Bill is a double Oscar-winning dramatic and documentary film writer-producer-director. His films have premiered at the Sundance, Cannes, Telluride and Tribeca film festivals. His films include “Nanking,” which premiered at Sundance and featured Woody Harrelson, and was shortlisted for an Oscar, and "Soundtrack for a Revolution,” which had its international premiere at Cannes and was also shortlisted for an Oscar. He directed and co-wrote “Rule Breakers,” a dramatic feature which stars Nikohl Boosheri, Ali Fazal, and Phoebe Waller-Bridge. He wrote and directed “LIVE!” starring Eva Mendes and Andre Braugher. He also wrote and directed “Knife Fight” starring Rob Lowe, Julie Bowen, David Harbor, Jamie Chung, and Carrie-Ann Moss. He was the executive producer and director of the series “That Animal Rescue Show,” along with Richard Linklater. Since 2001, he has been a lecturer at the Stanford University Graduate School of Business.

  • ROBERT BROOKER, Executive Producer

    Robert is a former entrepreneur and active investor in real estate, private debt, and other asset classes. His first book, a translation from Hungarian of Gyula Krúdy’s “Book of Dreams,” was published in 2020. His second book, ”Albert Kner: Discovering his Legacy in Industrial Design,” was published in April 2023. He is a guest lecturer at the Budapest Business School.

  • LES HALL, Composer

    Les is an Atlanta-based composer, producer, recording artist and founder of 537 Studios. His film credits include scoring the critically-acclaimed feature film “East of the Mountains” and the Quentin Tarantino-executive-produced documentary “Freedom’s Fury.” Beyond film, Les has toured and performed internationally, serving as lead guitarist, producer and songwriter for the platinum-selling hard-rock band Crossfade and with a number of other headliners such as Trey Anastasio. In the studio, he has collaborated with renowned artists such as Jewel and producer Martin Terefe as well as Producer/YouTube host Rick Beato, where their collaborative videos have garnered over 10 million views.
